Tremors a Cold Day in Hell Movie Review

Tremors, one of my favorite movies of all times from when I was just a kid, first released in 1990, at this time it was a one of a kind movie, also where we first saw what Kevin Bacon can do in a Science fiction/Action film, the movie had its funny parts, its action and the scares.

The second one Tremors 2: Aftershock wasn’t bad either, it introduced a new type of Graboid that can walk on land called the shrieker this mixed things up a bit and kept the franchise running fresh, the same goes when they released Tremors 3: Back to perfection, yet again with another evolve of the Graboids called the ass-blaster, crazy name I know right.

Things already started to look a bit wonky in Tremors 3 and it didn’t do as well as the first two movies, eventually the released Tremors 4: The Legend Begins, which in my case I didn’t like very much at all, although better than the third film, this was the last movie released way back in 2004.

2015 at least saw Tremors 5 which I didn’t find too bad, though the CGI was bad, to say the least, no awful it was still very much watchable as Burt Gummer goes on his adventure in the blazing suns of South Africa, the movie was full of comedy while containing its action counterparts, even though it wasn’t as good as the first or the second or maybe I was just excited to see a new Tremors movie back in 2015 after such a long time since tremors 4.

And Now Tremors 6

Tremors a Cold Day in Hell, not the best movie to watch, some will find it Ok, some will find it good, but I think the majority will find it “not acceptable to the franchise” and here’s why.

This movie to me was one of the worse ever, the creatures were bad looking, Burt Gummer is starting to show his age and wasn’t funny at all, I can almost put the acting as terrible alongside the rest of the actors in this movie, believe me the cast selected here were crazy and I bet the script was to, with screaming and yelling nearly all the time.

Tremors a Cold Day in Hell Movie Review

Don’t get me wrong there were a few moments where there could have been a laugh if it was executed right if there were better performance from the actors.

The story, well, nothing new here, its identical to Tremors 5 no new evolve, its the same story in a different setting, the worse part of all, there was no creativity in this movie and felt like a major cash grab from the Tremor fans out there.

While the CGI started to look bad in the 5th movie, it looks even worse in Tremors: a Cold Day in Hell, not only the CGI but moving paths of the Graboids are clearly visible, and when the ground shoots up as a dramatic action scene, it just doesn’t work when you can see these problems/mistakes, its a major spoil for the movie.

While it did contain a few good scenes it just wasn’t enough, the acting wasn’t good, the effects are terrible and thus the rating is low, I just can’t give it more than 2 stars.

Maybe if they get all this right we might see Kevin Bacon in another movie, its rumored that he might play in an upcoming series, which I pray won’t be like the series that recently passed, that should stay buried forever.
